2021 Honda Civic : The Honda Civic is the best-selling car in the U.S. Sold in sedan and body style hatchbacks, the Civic has a list of strengths unmatched in its class. Like other small cars, the Civic is quite affordable, but also offers significant value. The quality of the material is very good for its class, with minimal use of hard and dull plastic.
The cabin space is incredible – four 6-foot-tall passengers won’t have any problems adjusting to a Sedan or Civic hatchback. Their luggage will fit as well, as civic offers one of the largest cargo areas in its class. Optional turbo engines deliver excellent fuel economy and some of the fastest acceleration times we’ve recorded for non-performance compacts. Civic is near perfection, with a slow and in intuitive infotainment system as its only drawback.
For 2021, which we expect will be the last year of this generation’s Civic before a full redesign in 2022, Honda is making some changes. This stops the coupe body style as well as the Si, which is the Civic’s mid-level performance trim level. A 306-horsepower max-attack R-type hatchback will still be offered. There will also be a Limited Edition version of Type R for 2021. It comes with special light wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, reset suspension and steering, and reduced noise-reducing material for weight savings of about 28 pounds.
Some automakers offer performance hatchbacks at Type R level, but there are some viable alternatives to the Civic in general. The Kia Forte is a comfortable small sedan with an attractive mix of features and more competitive prices. The Mazda 3 is smaller and costs more, but the materials and manufacturing quality are similar to what you’ll find in luxury cars. You can also see the Hyundai Veloster, which is a small three-door hatchback that’s more fun to drive than most of its competitors.
